A Clinical Study of Nasal Septal Deformity

Abstract
The nasal deformity with its frequency, developmental age, and relation to otolaryngological troubles are studied.
The samples are 1131 primary school child (Boy 607, Girl 524) and 2415 out patient of H. hospital E.N.T. department (male 1632, female 783).
The results are as follows:
1. The frequencies of nasal deformity are 22.01% in child and 20.74% in adult group.
2. In. child group, the septal deformity is more frequent in girls than in boys (23.85% to 20.42%) and iii adult group, more frequent in male than in female (24.08¢¥% to 13.79%0
3. In child group deformity toward right side is more frequent for a both sex while in adult group, septal deformity toward left side is more frequent.
4. Most of tonsil hypertrophy are the McKenzie type I in child group.
